I Know Who You Are

About This Project

In March 2018 principal shooting of a new psychological thriller, I Know Who You Are started. The series will be made available to the public from the end of August on Sunday nights on channel NPO 3. The 16-episode series, directed by Hanro Smitsman (Flight HS13) and Thomas Korthals Altes (Petticoat), stars Daan Schuurmans, Ariane Schluter, Sophie van Winden, Gaite Jansen, Alex Hendrickx, Jaap Spijkers, Ali Ben Horsting and Melody Klaver. I Know Who You Are is a remake of the successful Spanish series Sé Quién Eres (I Know Who You Are), the screenplay has been edited by Maarten Lebens (Line 32, Football Mafia).

A deserted road in the middle of the forest. His torn cloths and face full of scratches and blood shows that he had an accident. But the successful criminal lawyer Daniel Elias (Daan Schuurmans) can no longer remember who he is and how he ended up there.

Daniel runs a prestigious law firm together with his friend and business partner Gabor de Heerdt (Ali Ben Horsting). He is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the university. Daniel is married to Alize Kasteel (Ariane Schluter), who is a judge. Together they have two children: their 19-year-old son Paul (Alex Hendrickx), who greatly admires Daniel, and their sensitive teenage daughter Juliette (Puck van Stijn).

In the wreck of Daniel’s car, the police finds blood and a mobile phone, both belonging to his niece Anna van Leer (Gaite Jansen), who disappeared on that same night. Everything points to Daniel as the main suspect in Anna’s disappearance. Daniel must find a way to prove his innocence, even though he does not know whether he is guilty or not.
